[Sam appears on camera looking deeply confused, but not all that freaked out]

So that's the last time I just toss a phone in a drawer and ignore it, because I think grabbing it just saved my life. Long story, but I was about to get shot in the face when I hit the button that  said TRANSPORT. Now I'm not sure where I am, but it looks like a scene out of Indiana Jones or something...I think.

Dean...Cas anyone?

Sam Winchester of the Men of Letters. It's nice to meet you too. What made you push the button?

The "transport" button? I haven't, yet.

[She turns the device around, not knowing how to switch between the inside and outside cameras, and shows him a campsite in the wilderness. She appears to be alone in this camp, aside from a large dog lounging in the shade of a tree. It does little to prove this isn't the city, actually.]

I suppose it sounds silly, but I'm still not entirely convinced it's safe.

Nothing has attacked me yet...and believe me I was ready for that.

[He sounds like an adventurer. She's comfortable with this, she can relate.]

My name is Sam nice to meet you Katherine. Where are you from?

[What kind of answer is he looking for? The name of her world? Her country? The very idea of all of these different realities that have never heard of one another is still very new to her.]

I was raised in a country called Ferelden - I don't suppose you're from Thedas at all?

[His clothes seem different. Not unthinkably bizarre, but certainly not the kind that would blend in where she's from. She's picked up on that sort of tell a lot over the few network conversations she's had so far.]

I have no idea where Thedas is. I'm from Kansas...well most of the time. My brother and I we travel a lot.

[boundinblood]

[Well, either he's from somewhere very far away, or he's from nowhere near her reality itself.]

I'm a bit of a nomad, myself - I just can't stay still. [She can't help a little smile - she doesn't know why he's in on the adventuring life, but she's glad for the common ground.]

So, this brother of yours - is he one of the people you were asking for?

Yeah Dean is my brother....Cas is our...well he's our friend. Last thing I remember is saying goodbye to Cas and then this person shooting at me. I guess I must have hit the button that said TRANSPORT without thinking.
