WSFC - Broadcast 0010 - November 15

Good afternoon and welcome. I am your host, [ crackle static hiss ], coming to you live from the top of the McAran Tower and bringing you the current events from our wide and wonderful Seven-Fold City.

[ a shuffle of papers and a throat clear before- ]

In local news, the tech support over at St. Vidicon Academy has been making strides in their bid to form a proper union for negotiating not just with the Academy but with a number of other think tanks, 'mad' scientist's laboratories, and cutting edge research stations. They site survivor's benefits as well as proper working equipment 'including flamethrowers' as being their major goals for at the negotiation table and stress that they're only asking for a 'fair share' of the City's respect for the hard work that they do. They'll be holding a rally at the Academy auditorium this week for those who are interested in attending or who wish to show their support.

Over in the Shadows, officials believe that they may have a serial killer on their hands. At five victims as of last night, the killer they're calling the Surgeon is striking fear into even the stalwart hearts of the Dim City. While police are doing their best to keep the killer's tactics under wraps, there's no hiding the killer's signature: setting, medicating, stitching up, and otherwise 'treating' every wound and medical issue of the victim's body outside of the killing stroke. If you, or anyone you know, may have seen something or thinks they could have any information pertinent to the case, please contact the COSPD as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, Nightmare is in a much more festive mood as the Midnight Carnival is in town, plying their wares and wowing the locals with a variety of wonders and terrors such as the City only gets to see once a year. The traveling show has set up on part of the campus of Kingsport University since the team's football dreams were dashed by the quote unquote 'loss' of their team captain, who has, according to reports, 'turned into a horrific mixture of fish and man and fled to the ocean depths'. New for this year, the Carnival is actually providing their waver online for visitors to print out before admission to speed up admissions. Might as well hasten your doom, after all.

Thankfully, the only thing going on in Sorcery in the moment is that the Goblin Market has started their annual holiday fair, with a few interesting new vendors and some winter-themed attractions to distract the kiddies while Mom-Mage and Dad-Druid get their shopping done. Of course, we all know there might be a Holiday Miracle in there so let's all hope that it goes to someone good this festive season.

Apparently, the multiverse is experiencing a bit of a slump this week, so the City of Laughter is feeling a little deflated. In turn, Hurrahs will be offering a buy-one-for-them, get-one-for-yourself sale to encourage a bit of brotherhood and the start of some new friendships. In response, emergency medical in the Big Grin have stepped up their supplies for detoxification and wound care response.

Over in Adventure, the Lost City of Amazonia is breaking new ground in becoming a little less lost. Using ancient technology which they've held close for centuries, they're setting up a shuttle to and from the Cross-City Docks to allow easier transport to and from the city, aid in trade, and they hope, population movement to and from the city to share their culture with others. Certain sections of the city are still restricted, but this is still a somewhat momentous and extremely interesting development over in Adventure. We urge anyone with interest to go and visit as there's no telling how long this spirit of free trade and interaction will continue.

And last, but never least, Mocha Vibe is in the midst of their fall to winter transition. Which means, for those of you who enjoy caffeine, that both pumpkin spice lattes and white chocolate peppermint mochas are available at the moment.

[ a slight cough ]

...some people might not call that news, but I think that there's a significant number of citizens glad to have this information. Especially since it's such a sweet ending to today's broadcast. Have a good evening and all the best until next time!
