ReQuest: 002 [Beechwood Hotel]

H-hello, visitors. I... well, I hate to bother you, especially with something as... unp-pleasant as this, but the representatives over in Tomorrow assured me that you may be able to assist me with my... predicament.

You see, I run the Beechwood Hotel here in Nightmares and as you might expect, there are understandable... difficulties in running such an establishment. One of them has become rather intolerable at this point and so I was hoping that perhaps some of you people, given your... status, might be able to assist me in removing this particular presence from my building.

The thing of it is, being a hotel, we don't exactly do a full credit check on visitors. So we weren't aware, at the time, that one of our renters was as... unsavory as he turned out to be. We only found out after we found his, er, ...dead body -thoroughly unpleasant, as I mentioned- that he was, in fact a, er, serial killer.

The problem is that apparently, he appears to have used his death to not quite... die. By which I mean that he's still kind of in there, along with a number of spirits which he has managed to trap there with him. I brought in a cultist and a witch and aside from the squabbling, they were able to determine that there are at least ten other spirits in there, trapped and used to fuel the unholy power tethering him to this world. According to the witch, they all correspond to the latter half of the tarot, though that's about all the information we have on their identities. The cultist, however, gave us some clues on how to free them and ultimately, how to banish him.

It would, in fact, involve entering the room. From there, it's anyone's guess what might happen but I figure any of you have a much better chance of surviving it than any of us would. And, of course, I should think we all want to make sure that a serial killer doesn't remain in power here in the City, especially those of us who happen to own the building that the room is in.

Anyway, if you have any questions, I'll certainly do my best to answer them though, as I said, my information is limited. And I don't intend to leave you emptyhanded should you manage to assist in our bizarre little room exorcism. I don't have much, of course, especially with a significant portion of my second floor unuseable at the moment, but what I can offer to anyone willing to assist is a free room for life here in the hotel. I'm sure a few of you might like to have a free room to stay in while you're here, after all.

If you're interested in assisting, the directions to my hotel are listed below. Simply speak to the person at the front desk and they'll give you a key to room 203. Unfortunately, they will not give it to you unless you are alone, as the room door won't open to more than one person. I'm not sure if this is a qualification of the ritual or merely that psychopath making things more difficult, but we haven't found a way to change it.

Anyway, thank you for listening. I... certainly don't expect this to be solved by tomorrow, but the thought that it may eventually be banished at all is enough hope for me to appreciate it all the same.
