So apparently, getting a business license and finding a place to open said business is pretty damn easy around here. I asked the lady at the front desk and she said that the 'Handwave Effect' makes stuff like this go supersmooth for 'Named Characters' like myself.

So you wanna feel like a VIP, apparently, do your business here.

So two big things: 1. does anyone on here want a job, say handling some of the coffe-making on the cafe side? or doing cleanup? Or heck, any other hairdressers, you're welcome to a chair if you want it. and 2. totally separate, but opening party y/y? Might be a nice opportunity for some of us to meet in person, have a few drinks, make friends, all that good stuff.

I promise, I know my booze.

Glad to know the SFC is so open to strangers starting up business here. Where's this place of yours gonna be? Coffee and hairdressing sounds like a great combination.

I'm going to be opening shop in Tomorrow. Too much competition in Romance, after all. I'm still narrowing it down to a couple of locations since I'm not sure if I want to do major renovations or try to start a little smaller.

One means a longer wait to start. The other means I might have to go through the hassle a second time if business does well enough.

And I've found it works pretty well back home.

If it were me though, I'd start small. Give people a chance to get to know you, get cozy with the business, and let the rest take care of itself. Yeah, you'd have to move later, but everybody loves a makeover. It'd give you an excuse to promote your business with another grand opening, too. Something to draw in the customers and turn some extra heads.

Did you own your own business back home, too?

I DO run my own business back at home. This is going to be the first new branch from that shop. I want to spend time here and unless I want that to affect my finances back home, that means I need to start the cash flow over here.

[ It's also his chance to do so without being under his family's supervision. ]

That's about where I am on it. The smaller location has the additional bonus of having been a salon before, so most of the plumbing is already in place. Still going to need some renovation.

Fair enough. I run a company back home, too. Was thinking about branching out myself, but I'm not sure it's the kind of thing you can easily branch out to the SFC. Especially by myself. I might have to get a little creative.

[Not that he super needs to keep his funds up, but he's going to go stir-crazy without something to occupy him beyond Goblin activities in the SFC.]

Nice! Sounds like the building's calling you, man. And me, I'm bored out of my mind. If you need any help with the renovations, holler.

Whatcha into? I'm usually good at smoothing the way with things.

But I'll keep you in mind for renovations if that's your thing. And maybe party planning, when I get there.

At home, I'm in the experimental science business, but I'm not exactly a science whiz. I mostly just run the business end of things. Investing, sealing deals, roping in clients... Doesn't do me much good here. Interest-wise, I'm more of an... art kinda guy. Painting and writing and stuff.

You do realize there's a STEM fair full of brilliant scientists who probably don't know how a checkbook works to save their lives, right? Why not go there and see if there's anyone there worth signing?

Thomas. And I don't suppose you'd be up for painting a mural or something once I've got the space mostly done, eh?

I knew about the STEM fair, sure, but I kind of figured... you know. Considering Tomorrow's huge thing being science that there was already plenty of opportunity for all the geniuses out there. What's the point if I can't offer something new?

Nice to meet you. [Aaaand guess who's excited to showcase his art skills? Play it cool, Harry.] Are you kidding? I'd love that! I haven't had a proper art project in a while.

You don't think access to a whole other universe isn't something new?

And I'd love to see what you've got. Have any samples you can send over? Picture on the phone thing here is just fine.

How many of 'em would actually be able to come back with me, though? And I'm pretty sure there's a limit on stuff I can transfer between worlds.

Sure do, pal. Hang on. [A long pause before Harry offers up attachments featuring his most recent painting along with others. Clean and detailed work, inspired mostly by his surroundings and various things that have caught his eye.]

You can bring data back and forth. Or prototypes, or serve as an in between for researchers from different worlds.

And put yourself down as hired for a mural once everything's in place.

That's... true. Huh. I'll have to think about it. It'd be kind of cool if I could help establish like... a hub for people to share scientific innovations across a bunch of different universes.

[Harry's just kind of daydreaming about how awesome that would be, how much glory it'd bring him now. Actually pulling it off is another thing, though.]
