I was thinking of cybernetics or enchanted limb replacements actually. Both are really popular back home. Here, too.

Of course they do. Better in person though; most communication is non-verbal, and text doesn't even convey tone. It can, but the question is, is it worth the effort?

I think everyone should push the shiny magic button, even if it's just once. Just so the 'maybes' and 'what-ifs' don't start gnawing at your psyche as well.
