[Dave is always coming and going between his homeworld and the SFC, and every time he presses that transport button, every time he tells his girlfriend and his master but not his parents everything he's seen, more questions form in his mind.]

Surprise, the multiverse exists! So now you can explore, learn, and then... what happens then? Have you gone home after visiting the SFC? And what did you do? Just... went on like always?

Have you made toast while thinking about unicorns and non-fatal anvils?

Is it weird to come to the meta-universe hub and take advantage of a temporal anomaly to finish your paper on oscillation?

Is normal life overrated? Am I thinking too much?

Apparently a rush of tourists goes to see it every time it shows up. They can't all be religious fanatics.

From what it sounds like, the only people who go are 'adventurers', not tourists, so they have an idea of what they might be facing in there.

Look. I know wizards. I know a wizard who's got enough raw power to blow up half of Chicago on an off day. And no matter how big and bad and tough you are, no matter how good you are, you've got a weak spot. And someone is going go stab you in it unless you've got someone watching your back.

[Dave takes his time to answer, this guy hits so many sore spots. He knows about his magic, and how some asshole would stab his weak spot - it's already happened in the past after all. Add to that the fact this conversation is still private and this is just to damn weird and suspicious.
