So that's the last time I just toss a phone in a drawer and ignore it, because I think grabbing it just saved my life. I might as well, at worst nobody hears me. Um... [She clears her throat.] This is Warden-Commander Katherine Amell of Ferelden. This device said it could be used to communicate with others who had another one. Oh, like a tiny eluvian... [she murmurs in sudden realization, before remembering herself and focusing on the screen again.] ...Anyway, is anyone hearing this? ...I see myself on the screen, is anyone seeing the same?

Hey guys. And girls. And uh, anyone not fitting in that arbitrary binary, HEY-O. Greetings from the St. Vidicon Lab Support offices. We're basically the ones who handle all the lab and computer equipment around here, order supplies, service the printers, put out the fires, battle the various and destructive mutated creatures that can result from improperly researched chemical properties, contain holes ripped in the fabric of space and time that contain beings that can rip your soul into individual atoms, correct tampering with local weather patterns... You know. Basic tech support.
Anyway, the thing is, with the STEM fair starting up soon, we're a little thin on resources. Ted hasn't slept for about 3 days and I'm reasonably certain that I have a blood level in my caffeine stream. What I'm saying is, we could use a little help.( Read more... )

Uh, hello? I just had this device with my name on it appear on my desk at work this afternoon. And no one around the office seemed to have any idea what it is or how it got here. So, I left in my desk. At work.
And now I'm at home. And it's on my desk. At home. I know because I called work and Sandra checked my desk drawer, and it's not there anymore. I'm really curious to know where it came from and why it's following me.
Anybody here have any clue what's going on? What does this big Transport button mean? Is this some kind of time share deal because I'm a journalist and I don't make enough money for a time share. Or is this about the Fisk thing? Is that why someone sent me this?

So you wanna feel like a VIP, apparently, do your business here.
So two big things: 1. does anyone on here want a job, say handling some of the coffe-making on the cafe side? or doing cleanup? Or heck, any other hairdressers, you're welcome to a chair if you want it. and 2. totally separate, but opening party y/y? [If anyone has been brave enough to venture into the City of Nightmares, they might recognize that Dio is currently in The Corvid. Those that don't will at least recognize that he's in a nightclub of some kind and Dio appears to be both completely relaxed and having a good time. He has to talk over the music, but he makes it seem almost as though he's not raising his voice at all or, at the very least, only raising his voice just enough to be heard and not a decibel louder.]
I think perhaps this city's reputation is a little unfair in its oversimplification. [He pauses as a twentysomething woman is placing her hand in his and taking up a seat in his lap while also trying not to spill her drink. Before she can take her hand back, Dio kisses her knuckles and smiles at her. She's caught off-guard by the gesture for a brief moment but once she meets Dio's eyes, she breaks out into a wide grin and bubbly laughter. She settles in against Dio, taking her hand back to rest it against his chest.] As I was saying, I think there's more to this place than just danger.
[Dio brushes her hair out of the way, exposing her neck to the view of the camera. He runs sharp, black nails up and down along her neck until she shivers and starts to sit up again.]
I know some of you have been hesitant to travel here, [he says, his gaze slipping back to her. He runs his fingers through her hair before hooking a finger under her chin and tilting her face further up towards his.] But I think you'll find something worth your while.
[He leans down and kisses her, his fingers moving along her jaw and back down to her neck.]
